Keep the Wheels Turning for NYC's Animals A Project of Wheels of Hope

Logging Millions of Life-Saving Miles

Since 2005, the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals has transported 80,000 cats and dogs to partner shelters and rescue groups, adoptive and foster homes, spay/neuter appointments, and veterinary providers with our Wheels of Hope transport program. Our six transport vans run seven days a week, 52 weeks a year, to help save the lives of NYC's animals. As a result, our current Wheels of Hope fleet has driven a combined 1,415,198 life-saving miles!

The Alliance and our community collaborators have made great strides for NYC's homeless pets and feral and stray community cats, and our transport program is critical to sustaining these achievements. The Wheels of Hope turn for our partner shelters and rescue groups, foster homes, adopters, Certified TNR Caretakers, veterinary partners, and most importantly, for the littlest New Yorkers.

How Does Your Donation Help?

Our oldest vans each have now logged more than 300,000 miles, and our maintenance costs continue to rise with each vehicle's mileage. We are in need of a new Wheels of Hope van, and your support will help us purchase a new one and sustain the incredible pace we have set for NYC's animals. This month, as we race to help even more animals find homes for the new year, please join our campaign to keep the Wheels of Hope reliably turning in 2015 and beyond.

We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
